National Cuban Sandwich Day

The Cuban Sandwhich orginates from Cuba but grew in popularity in The US starting with Florida. This pressed sandwich consists of two slices of Cuban bread filled with ham, roast pork, swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard. Once the sandwich is constructed it is then grilled or pressed, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese starts to melt. Cuban sandwiches are often served with a cup of soup and/or french fries. Here at The Warehouse we like a toasty Cuban sandwich served with a cup of soup and if available a side of sweet potato fries!
